The Magic Johnson Foundation and Abbott Laboratories sponsored a “Celebration of Life” Panel Discussion and Musical Performance on Friday November 30, 2007 at the AFC World Outreach Center in Chicago to recognize World’s AIDS Day on December 1st. The panel consisted of Dr. Helena Kwa Kwa, MD, Director of HIV Clinical Services from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Patrice and Keith Waltrip, Abbott Laboratories and Bethsheba Johnson, MSN, NP, AACRN from the Luck Care Center. Power 92.3 FM provided Kendra G and the Choklit Jok. The panel discussed different trends in HIV, prevention and care. There was also a surprise by Omarion, the R& B singing sensation. The Luck Care Center hosted their highly anticipated signature event the 6th Annual ‘Life is a Gift Worth Living Gala Fundraiser, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom October 20, 2007. The International Center for Equal Health Access has accepted Bethsheba Johnson to travel Suriname, South America to teach HIV/AIDS to nursing school faculty for the Bachelor of Science Nursing Program. Dr. Johnson recieved the "Voice of the People Award" from the Let's Talk, Let's Test Foundation Awards Ceremony held at the DuSable Musuem in Chicago. He was among other great honorees such as the Illinois Governor Rod R. Blagojevich, Black Entertainment Television (BET) "Rap It UP" Campaign, Lesley R. Chinn, the Representative Mary Flowers (D-Chicago), Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, State Senator Kimberly Lightford, Mr. Harold Lawary and Mr. Shawn Coleman, Ms. LaRisa Lynch, Ms. Sharon McGee, Reverend Senator James T.
